Shaun Daswani is Co-Founder of Exaim and leads finance, strategy, and school partnerships. He holds a BSc in Mathematics with Economics from University College London and an MSc in Financial Mathematics from Imperial College London.
Before building Exaim, Shaun co-founded Improve ME Institute in Dubai — a KHDA-approved tutoring centre that grew over 14 years to serve 1,000+ students from 30+ Dubai schools. The centre became known for its exam preparation methodology: studying mark schemes as carefully as content, and giving students precise feedback calibrated to what examiners actually award marks for.
That methodology is what Exaim is built on. Shaun brings the finance and commercial structure that allows the academic insight from the tutoring years to operate at school scale, rather than in a single classroom in Dubai.
He writes about evidence-based revision strategy, exam board differences, and how the mark scheme shapes student performance. His writing is informed by 14 years of watching students who understood the material fail to demonstrate it in the way examiners are trained to recognise — and by the specific interventions that closed that gap.
